some help from the bay area whores
hi.
so my sister has a couple of friends up in the bay area who are performing a full on production of their play july 15 and july 16.
i'm not really looking to go but my parents will be gone also so if she goes, i'll be home alone, which would be fine by me, but my parents probably wouldn't let her.
but that also makes it tougher to find a way to get there with the both of us. a round trip airplane ticket to SF costs around 150 each, which is fine for her. but if i go, it'll be a whopping 300 dollars just for transportation. then we need to find a place to stay which would cost more money and possibly be unsafe around the berkeley area.
so does anyone have any ideas on what we should do (how to get there, a good cheap place to stay)? i'm leaning towards not going but i'm not sure my parents will let my sister go without me. i was hoping one of her friends would let us stay, but apparently they've all moved away.
p.s. i'd love to meet some of you if i do go though.

it's a cool drive! I'm 1/1.5 hr outside the city but if you come to santa cruz you'll have to swing by

I would agree that driving is fun & inexpensive. You can get alot of work done while the other person is driving.
