There's your problem, robb. ME bites...
I've had few problems running Win2k that weren't my own fault and I've been running it since it was a beta. One of the more stable pieces of software that the evil empire has written in quite some time...

My dad had Millenium and was having the same problems. I loaded Win2k and his computer's been trouble free for a couple months now...
I'd either downgrade to 98 or upgrade to Win2k if I were you...

I've been running XP pro since last year and have had 0 software issues. The only problems I did have were with a piece o crap AMD processor (Athlon 1ghz) and the piece O crap Motherboard (AMIBIOS) it was on.
IMO, XP is worth the $$$, if not pro then home edition.

I've got a copy of XP Pro laying around that I was putting on my laptop, but it put up a fight with my AirCard so I uninstalled it. I'll eventually put it on my desktop instead...eventually...

Seriously, things that were so simple in win2k (which I had been running since 1999
) are a royal pain in the rear with XP. I spent an hour and a half last night tinkering with network settings just trying to get one computer to "see" another one on a 2 box network.... to no avail. Took me about 30 seconds in 2k. Typical of M$, they try to make everything user friendly, and end up
ing it up and making it twice as hard for people who know how to do stuff themselves...
