If it's not, get as much time off as possible, 'cos after you start working, it's going to be difficult to do so.

When I switch jobs two months ago, I did not get any time off. Last day of work was Friday. The following Monday, I started at the new place.

Pretty stupid when I think back about it now (I did get a continuous income stream though, so it's not so bad ).
