here's the actual page were me and alex split a corner. It's unclears exactly what happened. I think I was supposed to leave and I stole alex's corner as if I had hood winked him because I gave him the corner because I was going to bed. so I gave it back to him, but then we settled on a half a point. or something like that. I can't remember exactly....

 

back when the corner was a gentleman's game....

 

I left it because it was no longer played by gentlemen .... there were too many lurkers

This reminded me of an article I read yesterday by Jeremy Clarkson .... he was saying about why he likes the Germans now, then he got on to the subject of WWI and WWII and said something along the lines of ....

while the American's always tell us that they saved our skins twice in the wars, they were pretty late getting involved both times, at least the Germans were pretty prompt with their involvement ....
