There are plenty of well educated, literate and, in fact, some fairly intelligent people in the Corner who hold down jobs that require a significant intellectual input for the majority of their working day. The last thing these people want is some jumped up pseudo-intellectual posting self serving drivel in all of the threads when that same jumped up pseudo-intellectual obviously has no interest in integrating within the community that has developed through mutual respect and interest in other people

I'll be honest - I don't really care if you question my "intellectaul" integrity...
And I'm not asking you to apologize for being well-read. The Corner people are well read as well. However, most of us here
are intelligent enough to judge how to act in different social situations. This includes changing how we speak. You can't honestly tell me that when you speak to your family in person you speak as you have been posting here?And uh...

Given that I don't see this as a pissing contest, I have no desire to "challenge" you to a discussion about geopolitics. It's a fascinating area, one I would like to learn more about. There are plenty of other meaningful subjects that can be discussed and there are many people in the Corner who are more than capable of discussing them, should they wish to.
Not having the time to complete my to complete my thesis is not a "cop out." I happen to have a high stress job that does not create the best scenario to complete my masters. Care to support this 'little girl' financially so she can pursue a higher education and stop being so stupid?
