So there was a community buletin board in my apartment with this flyer

"Quin bed for sale. New condition"

someone then wrote "It's spell queen"

I couldn't resist and wrote

it's not "spell", it's "spelled"

ha ha ha


(and, no, people around here don't understand the word "spelt" so don't even think about it, TJ)

 

you should have said spelt anyway, so that someone else can come along and say "it's not spelt it's spelled."

"Spelt" is and acceptable spelling. In fact the correct spelling in many places.
