The talking on the phone while driving situation is just out of control. I've been on the road a lot the last few weeks and constantly see people yapping on the phone and not paying an iota of attention to their driving.
Today (had to get today in this post) had a woman next to me at a red light looking down texting on her phone. Light turns green she takes off without even looking if someone had been crossing the street she probably would of killed them.

Our laws are super strict here about distracted driving, which covers many things like using handheld phones, texting, wearing headphones, etc. Fines are really high if you get caught here. I guess it is different in the U.S. depending on what State you are in ? I was always amazed how many people we would see in the U.S. who didn't use baby seats during our travels there, it gave new meaning to "land of the free"

It's illegal here in Vermont. They did a sting awhile back were police were in a vacant office along a major route and they could see as people went by if they were on their phones. When they saw somebody talking and driving they would radio to a police car up the road and they would pull the person over and ticket them.

Today, just like the last several days, there’s virtually no fresh produce to be found in grocery stores.

Today that’s a minor inconvenience compared to what others are dealing with down south.

Do you mean southern B.C. ? worse with rationing ? Apparently there is another 100 mm or rain on the way.

As much as I dislike snow in Ontario, I dislike rain even more and I would take snow over rain. I spend a lot of time dealing with water leaks and sewer back-ups caused by excessive rain, if I was working in B.C. during the recent events I would have slit my wrist. That was just more than anyone should ever deal with.

Yeah southern BC. The rain definitely takes adjusting to. I’m not used to moss growing on my roof and, well, the north side of anything : LOL:

Today I'm saying I'm sorry to hear about all the rain that didn't reach the news here in the U.S.

Today, like most days, Canadian news doesn’t tend to reach the US.
