Gina, glad you got to view it, and thanks for the nice comments above. While Canada is tax -hell , the only good thing is we don't pay tax on winnings.

There is sales tax on the vehicle of 13% but VW Canada offered to pay it in full for me as part of the promotion, so I don't pay the sales tax at all. Our revenue agency does not tax winnings for the most part so I won't have to pay income taxes either. In the US I believe you do pay taxes, and even on shows like the Price is Right the winners have to pay various taxes on their prizes from what I remember. I won't pay a penny in tax here, that would have been painful if I had to pay tax on a $65k vehicle.
