Default Today is the first day of summer.
But, since the Summer Solstice is 10:25 EDT/7:25 PDT, tomorrow is the longest day.

100°+ here, 106 in Beaumont/Momland, 122° in Palm Springs, 89° in Big Bear (that's fucking hot!).
