Well hey at least he admitted it and is arranging to have it repaired...yeah I'm still pissed and you can bet he won't be asking to borrow it again...but I do appreciate his honesty. (I keep telling myself this anyway.)

 

Honesty is important. I agree. That's stand up. Cut him a break for that.

It's tough when you entrust your friends with important shit. I've done that before, and nearly dropped one friend when he just plain forgot to do some stuff that I asked him...
