Today I learned Crayola no longer wants our business.

 

Small retail businesses do not seem to be that important to the big manufacturers any more ... my aunt used to own a tobacconists in the UK, 20 years ago all of the sweet manufacturers, Mars, Rowntree, Cadbury would send reps round to take orders and deliver direct to the shop.

Then, after the big supermarkets his the area, none of the manufacturers was interested in the small shops and my aunt had to go to a wholesale place to buy everything.

That's just capitalist market forces at play for you ...

 

And soon we will have no choice. We will all be buying only homogenized goods at Walmart

 

Correct. The developed world is becoming a shitty place ...

 

We really need to buy that island FAST!

 

I seriously do think that big business and the drive to push up share prices is having a negative effect on our quality of life ... it just can't go on indefinitely and there will be some major fallout to deal with in the not too distant future I believe ...

 

It will be too late for us by then....

 

I would rather starve to death....
