Actually, that IS one of the local Miata owners. Her car got PUNTED by that Suburban, but she was ok and the car was damaged remarkably little considering how munched it looks in the pic...

Oddly, they don't scare me a bit. I figure everyone on the road short of a motorcycle is bigger than me, so I just drive like I'm in my old Jeep Wrangler and don't let the bigger cars push me around. Besides, it's kinda fun looking UNDER some SUV's and semis...

Cheesy aluminum skidplates, scary lift blocks instead of re-arched springs, exhaust leaks from poorly bolted headers..........
