Doing pretty well. Been doing manual labor all afternoon and I need some ibuprofen for dessert before I go to bed, but the project was successful.

How are you doing?

Why on earth would you do that?!

Speaking of sleep...it's just after 1am here, so I'm probably off to bed before too long...

Hmmmm...you sound kind of like me. I stay up until about 2am almost every day because sleep just won't come...and when it does I sleep fitfully.

I think I'll sleep well tonight, though. I'm tired and sore from helping my friend build a picnic table today.

I go to bed at four or five normally. get up about ten or eleven. Strange, i should sleep more, or go to bed earlier, but, yeah, i cant' sleep!
Was it tha hard building a picnic table?

The problem I have is that most days I get up around 8-8:30am...so staying up until 2am or later (earlier?) can get wearing after a while...

The table was amazingly complex. It's an octagon shape with built-in benches around the outside. It was copied from a design my friend had seen, but the only plans we had to go from were about 8-12 pictures he'd taken of the other table.

It turned out beautiful!

My friend Greg and I tend to do pretty good work together. Over the years we've done numerous projects ranging from a small stereo cabinet up to a huge deck on their last house and many things in between.

This summer he is supposed to come down to the coast with me and help with some of the renovation projects we're working on at my family's vacation home.
