(FYI, I was only giving him a rash of sh*t for threatening to steal my Prodrives. No slight intended against conservatives, fascists, neo-communists or Buddhists )

Paying for membership = winning at life? Well holy shit now everything is solved!

PS - every Zen Buddhist I've met is cool, but IMHO the true test of a religion is what it can do for your life - Your goals, accomplishments, ambitions, determination, strength of character, etc. Also, I think Shakyamuni intended the Lotus Sutra to be his ultimate teaching.

In that respect, Nichiren > Zen

We all have our own opinions though so I'm sure some think otherwise. To each his own.

Lee,

The true test of any religion is how thoroughly it can brainwash and control the people who follow it.

OK, now you know how I feel about that subject.

(forgive me if I offended anyone, it was purely intentional )

I agree, and that's why Nichiren Buddhism can't really be called a religion. No supernatural beings, no priests or any representatives of any "higher beings", no collection plates, no crusades, none of it contradicts with science and none of it contradicts with common sense.

I am a total skeptic and I found this philosophy to be beneficial in every way imaginable.

Rock on, Lee.

BTW, maybe if I've got a big #2 to do, I'll haul the laptop into the "reading room" and review that last long post of yours.
