I went on a 250 mile or so drive yesterday. Went to Starved Rock State Park to experience the spring thaw. All was great except for this one incident at the end of the day.

I parked my car at one of the car parks, and went on a half mile hike towards this one canyon to take some photographs. I couldn't have been away for more than half an hour, but when I got back to my car, I saw drops on brownish translucent liquid on my car (you know, like soft drinks). I looked around, and sure enough, there was a squashed McDonald's paper cup next to my car. Looks like some one decided it would be a cool idea to throw a cup of Coke at my car... I'm pretty sure I know who too (there was a pick up truck parked in front of me when I parked, that wasn't there when I got back to my car).

What's funny is that on my way back from the canyon, I heard a car alarm going off. At the time, I didn't think it was my car, but I remembered thinking I'd be pretty furious if it was. Now I'm beginning to wonder...

I doubt a cup of coke would set the alarm off though, so I'm curious if they did anything else (like bump into my car with his pick up). But I did look around everywhere, and couldn't find any visible damage...

I thought about it, but you have to hike half a mile to a mile to get to most of these canyons, and there's nothing near the car park but trees (and other cars).

Here's a picture of my car that I took (this was taken at an Interstate Rest Area):

There's a couple more, but I have yet to put those online.
