Whenever John and I agree on something I tend to take it as a consensus...

Just buy the car... cash the check!!! ...the top will be fine! Unless its an '00 or an '01 like mine...then you will have pinch/wear marks that will turn into holes

well, i'm talking to my friend scott tomorrow (scottevil.. he's the one with the '04 nfr with the tan seats).. he's a banker..
he made some good points about interests rates and whatnot and i need to figure this out...

'03 $26k (not factoring taxes, reg. etc.)
'05 $31k (not factoring etc..).

interest rate on a new car are lower than used. over 5 years, the monthly payment difference is less than $100. not sure how that all works (i used to just sign the papers and not think about it.. but i paid dearly for that with my '01 accord ex v6).... so i want to see it this time.

right now..

the '03 is sitting in storage under wraps.. it won't go anywhere until march so i have time to think about it.
'05's are already coming into the dealers but even if i got the car now, i wouldn't drive it until march anyway since the weather is already crappy here.

i guess i can think about this later on, but since my friend started talking about selling the spa instead of the sebring, i started thinking more and more...

here was the s2000 he was originally going to sell.
now it looks like he's going to sell either the '03 or his '02

As long as the car is covered I would keep the top up but unlatched. IMO the seals will last longer without the added stress.

Outside and covered with no rain or in a garage then unlatched. Outside in the rain regardless of wether or not it is covered, latched. Car covers can blow off in strong winds. Happened to me the day before yesterday.
