Click on "Listen to samples," then Grazing in the Grass. Then click on The Cornelias Brothers, then "It's too late to turn back now." That just made my
ing day!
Then do Archie Bell and the Drells Tighten up. Did you know that Archie Bell is the brother of Ricky Bell, the great USC tailback who was runner up for the Heisman Trophy and played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before his tragic death?
I did not know about the relationship between Archie Bell and Ricky Bell.
But I'm well-familiar with Tighten Up.
My mom left the oldies station on in one room of the house, and my dad left the Classical station on in the garage.

Business Wire, March 27, 2006
LOS ANGELES -- In 1976, University of Southern California (USC) tailback Ricky Bell came in second in the balloting for the Heisman Trophy and in 1977 was the No. 1 pick of the National Football League draft by Tampa Bay. Seven years later Bell was dead from a mysterious and rare disease called myositis.
Fans haven't forgotten the man who became one of the greatest tailbacks of all time, and neither has Bell's brother, Archie, who, prior to his brother's rise, had become famous with his band, the Drells.
On Friday, April 14, "Mr. Tighten Up" Archie Bell will headline the Ricky Bell Memorial Concert, to honor his brother and benefit The Myositis Association (TMA), at the historic Conga Room on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.
While Ricky Bell's family, former teammates and friendly competitors expect to have a great time reminiscing, dining and dancing to some classic soul, hip hop, funk and gospel, they also intend to raise funds for TMA programs that offer information and support for patients and encourage research for a cure for myositis. The highlight of the event's auction is a USC helmet signed by four Heisman Trophy winners.
