steps in the right direction though, lets me know I did my part

Righton, Collin. hehe... Jason - I feel you. It's funny - my entire neighborhood is Democratic. I'm still a Libertarian - but vote across party lines when necessary.
It saddens me that the GOP strategy of motivating their core voters worked. Fear (terrorism) and bigotry (gay marriage issues on the ballots of many states) = a strong turnout of GOP voters.

Bush has essentially taken the mentality of "
off, I only need 50.1% of you, the othe 49.9% can rot in hell for all I care...".
I think it was Billy Safire that pointed out first that when Bush speaks of terrorism, etc. it unifies the Rep. voters, whereas when Kerry speaks of the same topic, it divides the Democrats.
I don't have an answer, a solution, a quintuple of nickels. I am glad this election is over so that the country can get back to work; I'm disappointed the general populace (in my school district) seems to think itself qualified to make decisions about school millage rates. I vote, I care, I participate, and I am proud to be an American. :endofrant:
Well who knows, maybe he won't complete the next four years. Maybe we will get lucky and Bush will quit, get kidnapped, or jump out of a plane without a parachute along with his buddy Cheney.
