wickster: i finally finished the cams on my car, along with the flywheel, TB, brakes, wheels/tires, etc. the car is neck-snappingly responsive and it just sounds mean at VTEC switchover. it took a lot of trial/error and dyno runs to get it running smoothly, BUT, on a dynojet it was 227hp at the rear wheels

the car handles like on rails, as though it didn't already when stock, but i've yet been able to take it to the track. school starts on the 1st so i don't think i'll have time.

the ferrari is as fast as i remembered, and the E55 as well. we took the mercedes to florida for the trip to the bahamas; we drove to florida (ft. lauderdale) and took a cruise ship from there to the bahamas. we stayed on the island for 4 nights in a hotel then took the boat back... it was ****ing awesome...

camping was definitely fun. we took my friend's conversion van, and you'll never believed what happened: i was driving and noticed a ridiculously loud metal-to-metal sound from the rear brakes. it just got worse and worse so i finally pulled over to check it out. i took off the left-rear wheel, then tapped off the drum with the tire iron. i tapped it once and pieces just fell out of the drum. i was like oh shit
the star, the springs, EVERYTHING just fell out.
then i knocked the drum off completely and the freaking shoes fell out also! one of the was completely demolished, tweaked and bent to oblivion.
it was just that rear brake that failed so i made sure it wasn't getting any brake fluid (it had obviously seized in the rear proportioning valve) and drove it home with only front brakes; i lated found out the right-rear brake wasn't working either...
