What a long day!!!!
Wow! What a long day today...
Just got home.
Started work 13 hours ago. Reminds me of residency.
Best patient of the day (as best as I can remember the conversation)
S2020 - hello. So why are you here today?
patient - well, it's my eyes (this response is actually somewhat common).
S2020 - OK, so what's wrong with your eyes?
patient - I don't know. You're the doctor (acting exasperated).
S2020 - OK what about your eyes that's bothering you? Do you have pain? Can you see well?
patient - can't you tell what's wrong with me?
S2020 - well, I don't know yet. I'd like to ask you about your eyes first, then examine you then I can say what the problem is.
(some more convoluted conversation where the patient assumes I should know the diagnosis before even examining her)
patient - why are you asking me all this stuffs? Are you sure you're a doctor?
some people make it soooo fun...
(just typing this makes me think back to the conversation and I'm getting a little frustrated again).
I'm just glad I'm home now and get to relax a little before heading back to the office tomorrow. Hopefully, no such mystery patient.
