What really happened with Mocky's windshield
Cleveland, OH (AP) -- A typical Asian driver apparently suffering from dementia and nocashingchequeitis fatally struck a pedestrian and drove for three miles with the man's body through his windshield, police said.
Motoo (aka Mocky_57) was stopped after he drove through a tollbooth on US Highway 90, following a failed 'booty call', Traffic Homicide Investigator Michael Jockers said. The toll taker called police, he said.
Mocky was not likely to face charges because he did not appear to know what happened or where he was and was extremely despondent, said Bruce Bartlett, chief assistant for the Ohio State Attorney's Office.
"He may have somewhere in his mind have realized it was a crash, but immediately forgot about it," Jockers said.
The victim's leg was severed in the Wednesday night crash, police said. The man, whose name was not released, was 52.
Motoo had renewed his license in 2003, and had recently garaged his 2005 Berlina Black S2000 for the winter.
"That was the one thing he had, to get in his car and just drive for the sheer enjoyment of driving," Jockers said. Motoo lived with his long time companion, Ericka, authorities said.
A statement from Ericka noted that he was relieved not to be the passenger this time, as the body of the dead man went through the passenger front window and could have seriously injured him or worse.
"This one time, I am blessed to have been running late" said Ericka.
