I just saw sum of all fears. They threw away all the Jack Ryan character development and deviated way too much from the book for my liking , thus skipping a lot of cool subplots. Ya do what ya gotta do to keep a movie around 2hrs though

It's Tom Clancy for someone who's never seen/heard of/read Jack Ryan before. Taken in that perspective, it was a VERY cool movie!!!

Bummer on "Sum"... I can imagine that it would've been tough to maintain all the character development and still try to cover the "Sum" plot in such a short time. Must be daunting to turn Clancy into film. I'll wait for vid/DVD on that one.

You know what I saw recently on DVD that was hysterical...? It's a movie called "Castle" from Austrailia. Total thumbs up on that one.
