S2Ks are HK$430K (US$55K) here in HK. I have seen an used 99' selling for HK$170K. It is not worth it. The insurance is crazy!
It is much cheaper to take taxis in HK than driving (Gas is US$4.2/gallon, Short- term Public parking is US$3-4/hr, also people have to rent parking spaces at work, around US$400/month)
Taxis are everywhere. Even the regular public transportation like MTR (Subway)/train, mini-vans and buses are very convenient and are probably quicker than driving . Totally different than theBay Area.
I take taxis to places I hang out, is only around US$2-4. Even if I have to go somewhere "far", I take combination of MTR/train and taxi and it still less than US$10.
