You two guys are seriously nuts. I don't miss the snow... even a little.

Okay, the way it sparkles in the moonlight and the way it squeaks underfoot when it's *really* cold. That. But that's it.

I think it's because we see so little of it these days that it's such a novelty.
You can't beat going for a walk in virgin snow.

Sure... if you only spend 2 or 3 days of the year in the stuff. If you have to live with it it's white hell.

... Right! and here's the thing... As many winters as I lived through, every February (the "F month" I call it) I'd (and really everyone would) start to think we were nearly done. And of f*cking course we weren't.,... not even close!

Fecking winter not over 'til April. BaaaH!!

1-2 months I could take. 5... No thanks.

Well, John, you made the big escape.

I did for a few years myself, but the better half dragged me back -- kicking and screaming, I might add!

John,

The nice thing about New England is that there's a real contrast here between the warm season and the cold season.

So, James, how long do you think you'll stay in Japan?

Summer in the GWN is not shabby.

My favorite part of Canada (that I've seen anyway) is the Canadian Rockies, between Banff and Jasper. Oh my... Gotta' go there again another year.

Right now, though, I'm happy to be here. The leaves are starting to turn, and the next couple of months are my favorite time.

Rock on!
