Cooking up some wide egg noodles right now, a nice treat I make every once in awhile. Threw some peas in the pot with them and I will mix it up with some garlic, butter, oregano and parmesan/romano.

Planning on roasting some chicken thighs and broccoli on a sheet pan. I also am thinking about having some buratta oaver some field greens as a salad/appetizer.

Not by birthright. We lived in Europe for 10 years when I was growing up and when i was in college my parents had an apartment in Milan. After college I moved to NJ for work and seemed to date a lot of Italian American girls and since I like to cook I would always find my way into the kitchen and help with meals.

Spending time in Italy must of been great. Did you ever get to see the Alfa Romeo factory in Milan?

No. Sadly my dad was not a big car guy despite the fact that his first car was a Ford Fairlane Skyliner. He was an engineer and he appreciated the mechanics behind the car for the 50s.

When I was in high school he took us with him on a business trip which was near the Nürburgring and I tried to convince him to take the car around for a lap. He declined.

Well since it appears I will be here at the office until I go home to sleep tonight due to having to jump in and keep a project on track, I am ordering some BBQ from a place down the road that I hear is pretty good. Since moving up here to MN I sorely miss all the good BBQ I enjoyed back in OK and KS but there are good places here and there so I will see how this one is. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and tots If that is good I may try their ribs next time.
