My mate had a GT3 ..... it just wasn't the sort of car you wanted to drive down to the shops or anything like that .... he didn't really use it that much .... it just seems a waste .... and the GT2 would be very much the same .....

Gee, wicky, what do you really think about the Bimmer??
For now, I'm not quite as opinionated on this Z-4 business as wicky, but track smarts notwithstanding, I can't warm up to Chris Bangle's body design. I kinda a like the front end, but the reverse and oblique cuts in the sides and what looks like a rammed up rear end just don't do it for me. I have to say, they make it in a very eclectic set of colors though. Their blue, BTW, is pretty rare on the Z-4 and lovely. 'Course, I really do love my Suzuka! 
The S is just way so much easier on the eyes (to me). The Z-8 makes me think more of big ole Aston or even Jag... Very, very, beautiful.

The only time I even come close to thinking that my S smells remotely like anything that could be construed as a turd is when I get the damn 2nd gear grind at redline shifts. Other than that, I have no complaints.

The TT is interesting in its own right. Personally, I don't go for the rounded look -- too beetle inspired to my eyes.
The TT turbo isn't too slow, Morgan. Plus, I think you can chip the thing seriously (unlike our babies).

I like the bathtub 60's Porsche inspired look...never drove the turbo but the 180bhp TT was not what you would call "fast" (by s2k standards)....wanted to drive the turbo but the salesman steered me to the 986S...whichI couldn't afford anyway but a fun test drive....
