I can't see the need for an Ipod. I have a stereo in my car, a couple at home, so where would I use an Ipod?

uhhh... when your significant other is talking to you at home from the kitchen and you want to ignore them... an ipod comes in handy.

I hear you but I still like mine (not an iPod but 30GB of MP3s). I have my entire CD collection with me at work, in the car, in a plane on holiday..... etc. I'm not trying to sell these things but I like mine.

My CD's vary from awesome to horrible. Make sure it's not the mix/sound quality on the CD first.

OK Ive got the problem figured out! It had NOTHING to do with the downloading of the songs it was my using the FM band to get the pod to play that was the problem

Seems the signals just are not strong enough and even though a few of the songs came thru ok most sounded REALLY Bad staticy and a weird hummming in the background

What I need to do is get the DIRECT connect thingie right to the Unit! But I dont think our stock stereo allows that I am planning on upgrading (as per Mikey's suggestion) just hadnt done it yet and hope to get the Alpine unit he recomended! (which DOES have a direct connect for an IPOD)

I listened to my songs on the head phones and OMG I was ONE HAPPY OLMOM!

TANKS again everyone for your help! I DO app it! evenifIdidntunderstandit
