Well, they wouldn't last a year in New England, especially where some of us use the stockers for snow tires. The salt and sand pit the crap out of the chrome. THey do a job on aluminum anyway, it just takes longer.

I was watching Speed Channel's coverage of the recent SEMA show. It is un-fvck-ing believable the rims that people are buying. Monster chrome. Jewel-encrusted rims for half-a-mil... LED-strip displays (which spell things as the tires rotate) for 20Gs. Unbelievable. And I find none of it attractive (though the LED wheels were cool)
