The "ummm...", "ya know...", "errr...", "uhhh..." during conversations of this type are usually detrimental to your goals.
If she's already a friend, it should be easy to talk to her.
Put it into something you can relate to in your own mind first. Do you want to be stuck in Friend Ct or cruise down Lover Blvd?
