If anybody has any theories here, I'd sure love to hear them!!!

 

Dear Zoe, you must look beyond the X-box and PS-2. Determine whether it's really the games ... or is it that you are spending time doing something other than the 4000 things she thinks you should be doing (honey-do or paying attention to her).

Look deep into the problem, grasshopper.

I can definitely understand the neglect factor, but the hatred within the aforementioned stretches beyond my own personal relationship, and in some cases, completely unsubstantiated. My wife hates them both, and I don't even OWN one. The only time I play is when I visit friends on business trips.

I am grimly realizing that I will never win...

 

Hmmmm. Sounds like some psychological undertones there. Really, hatred? How can one HATE video games? I don't play them, and my son spends 24/7 playing them, but HATRED?



What else does she hate?

-her old job, and the fact that the one person who made that job completely miserable was fired less than two weeks after my wife quit.


-the cross member that protrudes upward on the passenger floor of my S.


-mushrooms.


-flight simulator 2002.


-cold weather


-not living in Burbank, Glendale, Pasedena


-the fact that I passed on a position on Pt. Mugu to stay in the east.

 

Uh-oh. It must be a very stressful time of year then. It is about 75 degrees here now. Why didn't you come to Mugu?? It's so awesome out here, that's about 15 minutes from my house and some of the most awesome twisties around!

Well I'm sure you must have your reasons.

So, what does she like?

 

-social interaction.

-our animals

-family

-a good merlot

-thunderstorms

-Mexico

-her 4runner

-Barney's Beanery

-the summer series at the Bowl (she used to be foreman of pyro)

Mexican food

-staying fit

We lived in Vegas for four years, and she said she was ready to come east with me. She likes it here, but is realizing that it is very different from the West. I don't car for Pt. Mugu or Oxnard at all. I do like Camarillo (lived there while stationed on Pt. Mugu while in the Navy 10 years ago) especially the twisties in the hills. I guess I miss my family and friends in Pittsburgh, and this is as close as I can get for now.

 

Moving around is always hard, not including the climate and cultural changes. It sounds simple, but just be a friend and FOR GOD'S SAKE DON'T BUY AN X-BOX OR PS-2!!!!!!!!!

 

It's weird, we get along great together, she just hates those video games.


Maybe I should tell her how much I hated Ally McBeal!!!
