Default Why Not Anthony Davidson?

I don't know where else to post this so I figured I'd post it at "home"

Why isn't BAR thinking about retaining Sato, and filling the other seat with Davidson. He seems to be very quick (faster than Sato, I would think), and consistantly puts good testing number down.
Granted, we don't know what the setup is, if they were testing something different, etc.. but.
Chinese Grand Prix... Rubens puts down 1m34.012 to capture pole. Davidson in testing puts down 1m33.298. Granted fuel load, tire, setup, motor, etc.. all factor in, but he seems to be very competitive week in and week.
So... F1 's, why isn't his name being brought up?

He was brought up several times, possibly driving for McLaren or Toyota (won't happen with JV on board). I think everyone knows he's quite fast.

He was being touted as a driver for Minardi / Sauber.

General thinking is that he needs a few seasons in a smaller team, gaining race experience and really learning the ropes. It is accepted that he is an exceptionally talented driver who needs nurturing, rather than throwing in at the deep end.

And isn't he only about 12?

There were still a few seats available, but things are up in the air whilst Jaguar is up for sale, and whilst Ford tries to find a buyer for Cosworth (who I think supply Jordan and Minardi with their engines).

It's also romoured that JB will be staying at BAR, especially considering the arbitration decision on his contract has been delayed again.

I'm just a font of useless knowledge right now

Davidson is 2 weeks younger than I am - he's 25.

Don't you just hate these young, successful racing drivers?

I wonder if this has anything to do with JPM calling him crazy.

I personally think Button is crazy too, to leave BAR.

I might be going off topic for a minute-but I'd love to see Robby Gordon in a F1 car.
He can flat out drive anything-he's won in off-road, NASCAR, Indy-Car, the 24 Hours of Daytona etc.
He reminds me of Foyt & Andretti at their prime. Put him in a racecar, and he will win.
