Wickster, you'll be the end of me!!!
I have the EMS in hand, along with a wideband, and a harness so no cutting/splicing, plugNplay all the way....
I just got my koni's and my sways are in town, although not in my hand, and I have cusco cross braces ordered as well. I'm also planning later this year to add J's or Spoon's halfshaft spacers and solid diff mounts to calm down some of that shimmy over rough surfaces, hope it helps
Here's my latest though about the motor: how about boring it up to 2.2L then de-stroking it back to 2.0L and trying for 12K rpm ?

if you wanna get rid of the shimmy, just shim the dropout carrier in your rearend. much cheaper, but you have the problem of resetting backlash and proper ring/pinion gear pattern... but MUCH cheaper
did you get koni coil-overs or koni springs? i wonder if i need a strut tower brace. i have everything else but skimped on the strut tower brace because i heard it does jack crap... i have no body flex whatsoever... id say most of the stiffness was from the x-brace, and tie-rods.... iunno
you NEED an x-brace, though, if you dont already have one
but ya ive been thinking about bore/de-stroke for quite awhile - it would qualify for a loophole in SCCA unlimited under 2.0 liters
they say it has to be factory block, but internals can be modified and discplacement equal to factory displacement, and under 2.0 liters. it didnt say factory bore/stroke must be retained..

yeah, that's the crossbrace, it's not x shaped so I don't call it that, but same thing.
I've heard the same about the tower brace, and hence I don't have one, and once the J's damper goes on I can't have one so I said fock it. bleh
I always like the Gen 2 RX7 tower brace, it connected the two towers then bolted to the motor in the center, everything is rock solid

so it wasnt a fixed mounting point to the motor - it allowed for SOME freeplay? just not too much, and in only certain directions, im assuming...
but tell about those rotaries, they make more torque than they know what to do with!!!! make my 600rwtq look puny
