I don't think so, afterall that's not what the Ryder Cup is about.

I remember many times were the US retained the Ryder Cup on European ans US soil. I think it says more about relying on star names (Woods / Mickelson et al) rather than the European method of working more as a team across the three days.

I think 2006 will be closer, unless we elect Faldo as our captain, in which case we'll get whooped big time.

I should clarify... Maybe it's time to add a third cup for the Europeans to play against the World team. Forgive me for suggesting something that isn't US-centric.
