It's a 6x2x2ft Tropical with 7 Discus (was 15 ) and some Tetra and Cory's.
I run 2 x Eheim Wet / Dry Heater filters and one Fluval Canister. There are two air pumps for the air curtain at the back, two extra heaters and an undergravel heater cable.I light it with three bulbs, one Blue Moon, one Triton and one Sunlight, all timed to replicate the natural light cycles.
I built the stand and hood myself, because I couldn't one that I liked when I bought the tank. Took me about two weekends. There are 300+ 4" screws in that cabinet, and an awful lot of 4x2 timber.
We think that with the gravel, the water, the tank and the stand, it's about 1 1/2 tons!
Not sure how we're going to move it when we move house next year.
Beautiful setup Rich!!!! Thanks for posting pics!!! I just got a new Eheim canister filter Best filters we can get here!!!! Not many places stock them though its hard to get parts!
I always used to use Fluval, then my local fish shop guy, who imported my discus for me, told me I should use Eheim as they were the best - and so I did!
I have two spare tanks, one of which I keep toying with the idea of trying marine, but I'm so busy with the businesses right now that I couldn't give it the time it needs.
