I was raised that way too, and I still believe in a bit of chivalry, but at the same token I don't care for the *myth* that is purpetuated that men can't put the seat up, or down, or whatever. We can put a man on the moon, but we still piss on our shoes.....

I find that most women don't put the lid down. Men are expected to, but women don't.

Why should I leave it down?

I think when a woman is done she should lift the seat. Damn when they leave it down.
