i say chaning it a month early is just stupid! but besides that whatever

 

I think changing it all is stupid, but a month early makes life REALLLY difficult for people in IT.

We had to apply patches to all the PCs in our company, all of our servers, most of our applications.

When we patched Outlook, it had to resend any meeting invites that went on between now and the next three weeks in case there were any people outside the US that were invited.

If you have an automatic watch, tivo, VCR, DVD Recorder, clock, etc they won't work right now.

I'm sure the banking industry, securities industry, basically anything financial was pretty much working tons of overtime to make this happen.

I'll bet security, survalience, etc were pretty much screwed with timecodes on everything.

The whole thing is dumb, but I hope the idiot congressmen that passed this law lose their seats over this, and then are prompt stoned in the streets.
