I really enjoy my job, there's not many places where I can be myself within the constraints of pinkdom of course and satisfyingly kick ass when needed or blag my way through additional funding or whatever else is thrown at me!! They do laugh at me though when I can't add up but I just give them a wink and say that perfection is resting and as such a calculator will suffice
So Brant....how come you ended up in PR
So Hash...how come you ended up in S&M
I started of in the Legal profession with a law degree and LPC from Guildford. I then decided that LAW was not for me and ventured off into the world where I found that sales and marketing was my thing. I am looking to move at the moment subject to some negotiations.
Oh well ...... PINK .... There are only 9 days until we actually meet .... cool huh !!!!

Hee Hee 9 days
Brant are you jealous
Hash, law to S&M is quite a jump but both require same specialist skills in blagging I reckon
I remember in one of my jobs I had HUGE problems with our S&M department as many battles ensued as they tried to spend money which we didn't have "entertaining" !!! I think in all honesty I was only mad cos I never got to go and play too
so what do you want to do next?

How did I end up in PR, you ask? Blind luck, I guess. The job is actually more than PR, though. I am an office manager/travel coordinator/schedule keeper/researcher/PR guy...and a whole bunch of other things when needed.
I actually work for my father. I've been doing this for about a year now. This job sort of combines many of the skill sets that I have used in the past. I've worked in sales before, I've done computer technical support, some project management and a few other things along the way.
In this gig I get to deal with the media, coordinate with all the various companies and organizations that my father works with and work on projects with him that are absolutely fascinating to me.
All the free time is a definite
too...
This isn't the be-all job for me, though. This is just another step in the path, but it is a good place for me to stop for a while and survey my options. I think I'd like to stay in the PR arena...or even possibly move in to some sort of diplomatic career path...
