TJ,
I have done both and am very pleased with the results. I have the OEM lip and think it is one of the best looking lips for the car....more so than 90% of the aftermarket. The sidestrakes suck (hence the Airwalker sides I have coming). The mesh is a really nice mod IMO. It DOESN'T reduce airflow....totaly rumor. I've had mine in some really hot weather, and I run my car on the lean side, I never got above 3 bars. Futhermore, I dremmeled out the side vent on the passenger side, replaced it with mesh and increased air to the CAI. I think some of the BLING-BLING silver can look a little gay, rice, etc...but the black is much better than the original vents.

Luke, I've measured the temp as well and while there is a slight gradient, I doubt it is statisticaly significant and thus effect the cars performance. As far a CAI that goes all the way to front....man, I know your smart but have really considered the hydrolocking factor? It not just with deep puddles....I can occure from washing the car and soaking the front bumper and thus the filter, and the car sitting out in the rain. The spoon CAI is the only one I would trust, since you can detach it easily and run the car stock. Well, just my 2cent....later brutha.
