I swapped out the NRG cf hood dampers for the SOS version. I purchased the NRG ones from a local person a few years ago. They do the job, but they aren't perfect. I noticed that they do rub a bit and it does have some of the paint from the inside of my hood on them. Anyway, those are the reasons why I am swapping them out. If you can figure out a way to get the joint part not to rub, then you have saved yourself $50. I'll add pictures once my garage isn't a frozen tundra.
