Default Amsoil

I have no clue what the previous owner used in the s2k I just got but I'm thinking of switching to amsoil, I'm pretty sure no one will have anything bad to say about this oil but since it's a pretty penny I was curious to see if any of you experienced a quieter motor or increased gas mileage while using this stuff.

Amsoil seems to talk alot of trash about how great their oil is, im just trying to see if there is any validity in their advertisements

I know its said that mobil 1 sucks for s2k's and it wasn't great on my old bmw either but is there another recommended oil you use? ( I specifically posted in the delval area because i'd like to hear the opinions of others that live and drive in these always changing climates).

I have been using amsoil in all my s2000's. I use the 0-30 series 2000. I am very happy with it, they also make a 10-30 and 5-30.

I noticed mine burned a lot the first time I put it in, but after that it seemed to even out. I prefer mobil1 because you can buy it anywhere, I hate having to order amzoil online. Also just as important is to stay away from shitty filters like fram etc..

Who wants to order oil? Sorry, OTC Mobil 1 for me. I'll guess that it's cheaper too.

They do have amsoil dealer all around me in NJ, there used to be one right up the street. I think the next closest one is 5 miles away. If you guys wanted to meet, I wouldn't mind getting a member card and bringing a ton of oil to the meet.

they do sell the stuff in weird places.

I use amsoil in my car. So far so good. I noticed that motor runs quieter after Mobil1, but nothing more like gas mileage difference
I change the oil myself, so I don't mind to order it online...

I started out using Royal Purple, but once the prices started getting Betarded on it, I switched to Mobil-1.

Bah the places are all retailers, guess that idea of running amsoil is shot.

Back to mobil 1 for me, and probably more of those fram filters.....
