Default Any Runners out there???

I'm not sure if any of you guys are fitness freaks like me or even just avid runners!?!??! My company is putting off a 5 Mile Run in Ridley Creek state park on April 3rd. It's our first race and so far things are shaping up to be a pretty cool event. Soooo... if you're a runner and want a bit of a challenge check out the website and shoot me an email! www.runtheday.com Feel free to PM me with any questions
You'll be happy to know that any money raised is gonna help people in recovery from addictions
Peace
Brad

I ran the Cleveland 10k last year for charity and nearly died
Having said that, if I was on the east coast, I'd run. Good luck with your run. I am sure it's for a worthy cause

Yeah, I work out with freeweights 4-5 times a week. Running is just not for me....that's why I got a car! 6'1" and 215 lbs of "twisted steel and sex appeal!"

Well I drive home on Kelly Drive every day and I see all the good looking women running and I can understand why you would take up such a torturous hobby ......... actually I ran track in High School but that was a couple years ago

Run. Sure... LWG Run, New Hope Run, Cape May Run, PA-MD Run and the list goes on.

If only I were in better shape. I couldn't last 5 miles. 3, yes. But not 5. At least not yet and not very fast.

I've been running for about 20 years now. Most of it's indoors (treadmill) & usually limited to 3-4 miles but this sounds like a challange!

Are we talking trail running or is there a path?

Woo hoo... I knew there'd be a bite! I was feelin like I was the only runner in here! Anyway... The run is a 5 mile paved loop in the woods, so its trail yet not portions of it are along the river. The course overall is rolling and pretty challenging... there's on long uphill toward the end. Two water stations, T shirt to say ya did it, food sponsored by Wawa, bib number and other cool stuff. www.runtheday.com is managing and timing the race. Prizes are awarded for the top three in each age group. It's gonna be a good time and it is the 1st annual so it'll be sure to grow. The money helps people recovering from alcoholism and other addictions if you're interested... the directions are on the website and you can actually just register the day of. Hope to see ya... Look for me in BLUE
