I talk to the organizer almost everyday on Whatsapp, I'll ask him if he's done a dry run. This is not a LV run by any means. It will be a moderate pace and more of a social event. The NY metro guys have a wealth of S2000 knowledge and I am glad I got to know them really well at the Dragon. I had my 050's squealing like pigs on the Dragon trying to keep up with them. Most of their cars are race/track ready. They do a lot of autocross and track events.
One thing that I was shocked at was the lack of tape at the Dragon event. Nobody taped up out of the 90 cars that were there.

Found myself wondering and I thought I would chime in here. I live 30 minutes from Bear Mountain and part of the cruise actually passes right by my house on the way. I can't speak on the roads for your trip to New York but the actual exciting part of the cruise the roads are pretty good. Where I typically meet up with the cruise is in Carmel, Ny where I live and we take a road called 301 which I drive daily and it's a pretty good road with lots of turns. On the way up to the mountain area and so on I would say only gets better, hope that helps in your decision to make the trip it appears this may be the biggest one we will have yet.

Any reports on road quality up there?

Update,
We might have a few people coming up for the Bear Mt run, I think the best place to meet is at the Kat Man Du in Trenton. I'll have a time for us soon. It should be an easy drive up since we will be leaving around 6-7am. I'll be making a caravan thread on Monday start counting heads.
