Default Breaking A Lease......Can Anyone Help Me?

I leased my S2000.....(yeah yeah I know, not the best idea), but any ways. Is there a way to get out of the lease or switch to another honda? I am not sure if I really can afford it anymore because I have had some personal issues come up and I need a cheaper car. Also I am hoping to go back to school within the next year. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can always get out of a lease, but it will cost you big time. It's easy to figure out what it will cost. Just take your remaining months left on the lease and times it by your monthly payment. That's what it will cost you. In simple terms, you have to pay off the lease all at once to get out of it.

I know that's not what you were looking to hear, but there's not much else you can do. Go to the dealer that sold you the S and see if they can work something out for you.....Good luck.

If you go back to the Honda dealer and tell them that you need to trade down, but that you will buy another car from them (new or used), they will probably be willing to negotiate you out of your current lease with Honda Finance on much more favorable terms than if you just broke the lease. The downside is that you have to buy (or lease) another car from them to get them to negotiate favorable terms on the lease exit for you. And going into the negotiations on the car you are purchasing, they will already know that they have you by the balls...
