Can someone give me a hand
I'm gonna be getting my Cusco 5-point in the next day or so. But I need help installing it. HIN is this Saturday but I need to roll in on Friday. If someone could give me a hand installing it, I'd appreciate it. I need to install it Wednesday at the latest; Thursday at the absolute latest.
Thanx in advance,
Chris

Chris,
I leave for Fall Colors on Friday and need to get things done myself otherwise I could help. I suppose there are other people in the same position. If you wait till after Fall Colors there might be more people available. I have some experience installing my Elda bar and you are correct you are going to need some help. I took it slow and cut all the plastic pieces real nice but for that kind of work it takes time. I'd reccomend that you do it when you have more than 2 weeks otherwise the final install will be rushed and could look like crap.
Another concern of mine is the bar itself. I have read some comments about the Cusco bar breaking skulls. Not that I or anyone should look forward to an accident but we should prepare for them. The bar will give good protection in a rollover on the track and while it will give the same protection to the car in an accident on the street the driver and passenger might be more at risk. On the track you are wearing a helmet and hopefully a harness. On the street your head is unprotected and the three point belt will let you move around. The bar could be pushed in, the person could be stretched out and there could be contact with the bar. Not that my rollbar is any better. I thought about this with the bar I have and now I have a racing seat with wraparound head protection and a 6 point harness so my skull does not get close to that 3" diameter piece of metal.

I could get it installed after this week too, but I need it installed soon for HIN. A friend of mine up from where I'm from will do it, but it's an hour or so drive to get there. I was trying to save time by asking if there was anyone down here who could do it.
Thanx for the help. If I don't get it installed, I'll give you a shout.
Thanx again,
Chris
