You can't blame a guy for wanting a decent local community to interact with. Is there something that can be done? Not as if it matters to anyone I guess. I would definitely be more of a regular if I had a local community to be a part of and then would consider beign a paying customer.

There is some merit to this request but not enough support for a new community. It seems most of the del-val meetings take place in the philly or east area. That is a long drive from carlisle, hanover, etc.. If you want to set something up in your area campuds just post it and invite everyone and see who comes. Most likely it will be your local people anyway.

it's funny i see a good amount of s2000's around here but when i talk to them i tell them about this site and this community but yet i never see anything come of it. if more owners would get on this site i think we could have a shot at a community. with the little numbers that are on here right now, i don't know if it would work good

we at least have our own thread and pas2k can at least sticky our different threads up if need be

Don't other regions have sub-forums i.e. SoCal and Canada? Not a completely separate community, but a defined region within a larger region. I don't have any clue what the procedure is for this, but maybe something like that is a possibility.

Talk up the site to the n00bs..tell them about meets, drives and all the fun of getting to know other owners and their rides ...Anyone out that way have an S2ki calling card to leave on prospective n00bs cars?

Unfortunately, unlike the early days, I think many S2000 owners are just car owners. There is an enthusiast contingent, but many people just own the car because they like the car and don't necessarily want to be part of a "car community".

I agree with Jay, if the CenPa folks post meets on the Allegheny and DelVal boards you're liable to get folks from those forums there. Otherwise, the audience will be the ~10 locals that have been posting on the CenPa thread.

If there became a Central PA sub-forum, I would renew my membership and be an active participant. As in organizing drives and meets.

Campbuds, since HondaGal has indicated a sub-forum would be possible, why don't you make a sign-up thread.

....and they still ARE great

I'm going to post a thread shortly (personal life has been hectic lately) for a Central PA on Saturday, June 17th. It will start in Carlisle and do a brisk ~200 mile drive to the north/ west and back to Shippensburg area. Paul has already mapped it out....looks great. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

I would also support a sub-forum.....it would show up at the top of the DelVAl Forum page; click on it and an entire separate forum directory opens up (can have pinned threads at the top, thread subscriptions, etc).

There are a few people (like me) who spend time in Central Peeay and would also sign-up as supporters/ occasional thread participants. Maybe we could make it a 'members only' forum.....as works with some of the other areas on s2ki.

Take a look at the Vintage S2000 Forum under 'Special Interest Forums', in which a sub-forum was set up for Politics afew months ago. It has it's own set of participants....some post on the main forum and some do not.
