clearing headlights
I had W1ngman (Dave) clear mine. He's done hundreds of them. (Seriously) The only thing is that he's in VA. If you can get a few people together he might consider making a trip up. He came to our Del-Val mod day last year and did a few set's. I went to a Mid-A mod day last year in MD to have mine done.
Speaking of mod day's.....We really do need to plan another one for this year! Last year's was a good time

On the bulbs, basically keep in mind that behind your OEM amber diffusers you have clear bulbs. One set (7440s) are your turnsignal indicators. The other set (194s) are your parking/running lights -- at the base of the amber diffuser area of your headlamps. So, you replace your amber diffusers with [insert choice here] and the bulbs behind the now-no-longer-amber diffusers won't provide an amber color when actuated. And that could pose a problem with a safety inspection (moreso the turn signals over the parking/running bulbs). So folks tend to replace these clear bulbs with alternatives that allow amber illumination during actuation.
