I've done it twice. edit: Three times. Patience, patience patience. Think "Operating Room" sterile and clean.

Take your time.

What problems are you having? Do you have Ricks directions in front of you?

And lastly, always buy tools not labor.

I'm working on separating the headlight. Its a real pain and im afriad to crack the lens or housing. I have a heat gun and have been working with that. What tools did you use to separate?

Put the heat gun away.

Use the oven, ON BAKE, not broil. And I don't mean the microwave oven.

AFAIK, I've never heard of any problems with the HIDs in since your only baking it to like ~230 degrees which isn't much in comparison to how hot the bulbs get.

I had the same problem seperating the lights, I was about to give up but everyone told me 230 for AT LEAST 10 minutes preferable 15 or so min is optimal. So I bit the bullet and did it. Ended up working great.

I think 230 for about 8 minutes is enough to be able to soften the glue and bend the tabs....

patience......
