I have no clue what the guy had done to it, looked stock from the outside, but someone I was running with at NJMP Lightning in a new GTI was running a very close lap time to me (he didn't gain on me, I didn't gain on him). There was an Elise running in between us as well running the same pace. The GTI guy was probably one of the best in the novice group we were in at the time. Next time around, we were both Intermediate.

Driver is everything.
