CV Joint Swap
My car had the shakes real bad, especially once I lowered it a few weeks ago. I just couldn't take it anymore. So this weekend I decided to dive head first into swaping the inner CV joints.
It's really not as hard as you might think. The only special tool I used was the claw-like thing to pop the ball joint. I rented it from Advanced auto. Having the HKS exhaust also helped because I was able to take out the exhaust piece between the resonator and the mufflers. This gave me extra room to remove the passenger side joint. I did it without removing the halfshafts.
If you have issues with getting messy, I suggest taking the halfshafts completely off to do the swap. I got grease over EVERYTHING when I took the joints off and then manuvering them back on. Taking the entire halfshaft out would eliminate this and make the job a whole lot cleaner.
The car drives smooth as silk now. It took me about 4 hours (including a food break, along with several beer breaks). For those with the shakes, this is highly recommended!

The only reason why I didn't take out the halfshafts is because I didn't have an impact wrench to get the axle nut off and then a tq wrench big enough to torque it back down to 220 ft/lbs. I guess I could have rented all that from advanced auto but of course I'm just now thinking about it
If I were ever to have to do it again, I'll absolutely take the halfshafts out. Though it's a little extra work, I think it'd make the job a bit easier and not quite as messy.
