The Del Val Borgata Meet...
The Del Val Borgata Meet...
What:
After a very succesfull Atlantic City Meet from March, much talk and intrest has been said about doing another one. For those that are not aware, the first Borgata meet in March was so sucessful that I have decided to make it an annual event every March
With this being said, and 6 moths down the road Del Val has had a great increase in members and meets since the 1st Borgata meet. Well, I decided to throw another one for those that have asked. We will still have the 2nd annual Atlantic City meet next March, but here is a spur of the moment one to hold us over. Here is the details...
When:
Saturday October 27th (We all meet for the cruise down at 5pm!!! Please read a little further down for the meeting spot and address)

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa
One Borgata Way
Atlantic City, NJ 08401

So why:
The first Borgata meet was a great time. It was a nice ride to the shore and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves through out the event. We ended up with a 27 car cruise and over 40 people. Borgata is very nice casino. Theirs plenty to do, and if we stick to small groups based on intrest, no one should be bored no matter what age you are.
Can the date be changed?:
If I have learned one thing about planning meets it would have to be you cant please everyone. The date is the 27th of October, and it has to stay this way. Plenty of time has been given to make plans to attend this if you are interested. The only way the date would change is if drastic weather happens that day.
Where we will meet for the drive down:
We will meet at the Sams Club in Williamstown NJ (2080 NO. BLACKHORSE PIKE WILLIAMSTOWN , NJ 08094), at 5pm. The only reason this is the main meeting spot is because their is an on ramp to the AC Expressway less than a mile from Sams. I will give it an hour for everyone to arrive and meet. If we leave Sam's Club at 6pm we should be arriving at the Borgata by 7pm.
If anyone from PA wants to meet me near my house and follow me to the Sam's Club, I will arrange for this as we get closer to the meet.
Driving on the Expressway
Please, no stupidity. The one thing I planned bad for the last meet was no rules for driving. Last time once we all hit the expressway, 27 s2000's flooded a four lane highway filled with traffic. Im not saying we can't have fun, but just use common sense. Those who wish to cruise please stay to the right, and those who wish to have a spirited drive stick to the left.
Parking:
We will park in the Borgata's main parking garage or the surface parking lot depending on how crowded it is. Preferably we all park on a floor where we can fit all the s2k's. Parking is a flat rate of 8.00$ unless you are a member in which its either 5.00$ or free depending on which card you have there.
Guest:
Although this is an s2000 meet, we always like to meet new people. I myself will have a guest with me. The s2000 is a two seater, bring someone along for the ride and night.
Rooms:
Last year we did not stay over night, which was some what of a mistake. If someone can assist me in getting a group rate for rooms that would be very nice. I know I wouldn't mind spliting the cost of a room with someone.

I called the Borgata today for room pricing. They will only give us a group rate on rooms and discount rooms if we have a minium of 200 rooms
Normal price for a room on a Saturday night is 459$ + tax.
Im sorry the rooms are so expensive, I don't want this to discourage anyone from coming. If you shop around im sure their are much better rates at other casinos, or possibly you might have comps.

Other people have brought up the issue of inviting other cars. I will not refuse anyone of this event, but please remember to be safe and not mess around with the drive. This is the second Borgata meet, and I don't want it to be the last. Usually issues arrise at meets/events when people bring guest.
So if your bringing other cars/people...
1. You are responsible for your guest behavior.
2. If your friends come and take their own cars, please tell them to behave and flow with the traffic. We don't need 20 cars trying to race 20 cars and we exspecially don't need that one show off who always does something stupid. Everyone needs to take responsibility and be mature.
The end result is I don't want this to get out of hand. I didn't expect this meet to be this big this early, but hey its going to be a sick time.
Once again though, this is mainly an s2000 meet, but others are aloud to attend.

I get comped at Harrah's, which is almost right next door, for free rooms. I'll probably go ahead and book one for that Saturday now.
